Central employees to get increased salary from July 1: 7th Pay Commission update

A 4% hike in DA was chosen for July-August in light of All India Consumer Price Index (AICPI) which showed up back in March.

7th Pay Commission update: A lift is on the way for the funds of central government workers. In a much-anticipated positive news, Dearness Allowance (DA) hike is purportedly set to bring additional pay from July 1. The DA for central government workers will be 38% and the advantage will get help and backing seasons of value ascent of fundamental things.

How much hike is normal for central government workers?


In the midst of rising expansion, the Center can expand the DA for representatives in July. A 4% hike in DA should be possible, which has been chosen for July-August in light of All India Consumer Price Index (AICPI) which showed up back in March, Zee News Hindi detailed.

The AICP Index for the initial two months of 2022 – January and February – saw a plunge. From 125.1 in January to 125 in February, trailed by a leap of 1 highlight 126 in March. The AICP numbers for the following three months of April, May and June are yet to show up. The Index moving over 126 would empower the government to give a 4% DA climb.

Influence on Salary

An increment of 4% will take the DA figure to 38 percent from the ongoing 34%. This will influence expansions in the maximum and minimum basic pay that focal government workers get in their bank accounts.

For maximum basic pay

  • Fundamental compensation each month: Rs 56,900
  • DA got (34%): Rs 19,346
  • DA after amendment (38%): Rs 21,622
  • Month to month expansion in DA: Rs 2,276
  • Yearly increment (month to month increment x 12): Rs 27,312

For minimum basic pay

  • Fundamental compensation each month: Rs 18,000
  • DA got (34%): Rs 6,120
  • DA after revision (38%): Rs: 6840
  • Month to month expansion in DA: Rs 720
  • Yearly increment: Rs 8,640
