Sonam Kapoor is longing to return to London. The actress recently shared how much she misses the city where she owns a luxurious apartment in West London’s famous Notting Hill. Her love for the city is so strong that she admitted she can’t wait to see it again.
Taking to her Instagram Stories, Sonam expressed her current mood with a post that shared an interesting statistic about London. The post stated, “London has been ranked the best city in the world for the tenth year in a row.” Along with this post, she added a caption that read, “I miss you so much London, and can’t wait to see you.”
Take a look at the post here:
According to a Bloomberg report in September, Sonam’s father-in-law, Harish Ahuja, had purchased a house in London’s Notting Hill. The eight-storey convent building is worth £21 million (around Rs 231.47 crore). Located just a short walk from Kensington Gardens, the spacious 20,000-square-foot property was previously owned by a UK-registered charity and religious order. Sonam and her husband, Anand Ahuja, are reportedly set to move into a section of the property after redevelopment. The other section will be converted to flats.
On the professional front, Sonam last featured in the crime thriller Blind, directed by Shome Makhija. In the film, she plays a blind police officer on the hunt for a serial killer. It is a remake of the 2011 Korean movie of the same name.
Looking ahead, Sonam is preparing to make her return to the screen early next year. This project will be her first after becoming a mother to her son, Vayu, who is now 2 years old. She confirmed it will be a major streaming project on a global platform.
Sonam expressing her excitement about the project stated, “I’m super excited to face the camera again post my pregnancy. I love being an actor and living so many interesting characters through my profession. Human beings fascinate me and I love playing varied roles. I’m looking forward to my next.”
Although she has kept the specifics of the project under wraps, Sonam did reveal that it is a significant one. “I will return to the sets early next year. Details of this project are currently getting locked, so I won’t be able to talk at length until the announcement is made. It’s a big project. That’s all I can say right now,” she said.
