Listening to calming music can help you relax.

One of the best ways to let out your anger is by working out. You can go out for a walk, jog or run. You can hit the gym.

Often, we tend to get very upset and angry quite easily. This can be because of a hectic schedule, stress, anxiety or anger management issues. It can be a sign of worry that can impact not just your physical but also your mental health. Anger issues are known to affect people’s personal as well as professional lives and impact their day-to-day lives.

Anger can also create a rift in the relationships. If you are someone who loses your cool easily and often, then do seek out help as it can be an underlying cause of other issues as well. However, if you are looking for ways to control your anger, you can try these few methods-

1. Breathing

Practice breathing exercises as they can help you control your anger. To calm your mind, simply breathe in deeply from your nose and exhale from your mouth. Do this regularly, especially when you feel anger and resentment. Also, practice yoga and meditation to help you further relax.

2. Music

Listen to calming music or songs as they can affect the mind and help you relax. If you feel upset, irritated or angry, make sure you play some songs to take your mind off the situation and instead, unwind.

3. Exercise

One of the best ways to let out your anger, aggression or built-up frustration is by working out. You can go out for a walk, jog or run. You can hit the gym and sweat it out. You can also try out swimming, aerobics, weight training or playing badminton, cricket, basketball or other sports to alleviate your anger and channel your energy into something more constructive.

4. Sleep

Sometimes, the reason for your anger or irritation can be a lack of proper sleep. Just get a good night’s sleep and you will be relaxed and find yourself capable of tackling difficult situations.

5. Hydration

While it may not seem like much, sipping a glass of water can help you relax. It cools your nerves down, controls blood pressure and regulates breathing as well. It also allows you to pause for a second and diverts your mind.
