Bollywood actress Sonika Gill is known for her role in Subhash Gai’s 1989 film Ram Lakhan. She played a prominent role in the film and gained overnight fame. The actress, however, could’t maintain her fame. Her personal life often created news. It is said that Sonika Gill went through a series of heartbreaks in her life. Her marriage reportedly broke six times. She finally settled with a businessman on the 7th time, but Sonika Gill is reportedly living happily in the same house with her current husband’s second wife and stepchildren. In an earlier interaction with the media, the actress opened up about her failed relationships and her journey in Bollywood.
While talking about her marriage, Sonika Gill said that she faced rejection in love 6 times. The actress said that it was her house pandit, who said that she will be lucky one day; then her marriage got fixed to Mitesh Rugani, who is a builder and businessman. “I thought that I would not get married because I am choosy in some matters. I did not believe it, but this marriage took place one year after my mother’s death.” said Sonika Gill as quoted in a report by DNA.
Sonika Gill has worked in numerous movies in Bollywood. Her notable works include Tu Nagin Mai Sapera, Kaun Kare Kurbanie, Mai Aur Tum and Kacchi Kali. She is a resident of Delhi. She studied in a government school in Delhi and has always been fond of acting since childhood. She also did stage performances during her school days. She later shifted to Mumbai to try her luck in the film industry. During an interview with the media, Sonika recalled those times and said that it was difficult to take part in a movie just based on looks. Apart from being good-looking, she also had to be proficient in arts like dancing and acting.
Today, Sonika Gill is the mother of four daughters, along with two sons of her husband’s second wife. The elder one is 22 years old, while the younger one is 14 years old. Sonika said that the whole family lives together in the same home.
