Bobby Deol’s character in the upcoming action thriller film Animal has been getting a lot of praise. Well, today the trailer was also released and the audience has given a huge thumbs up. During the trailer launch event, Bobby Deol was also present along with Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna. The actor was seen showering praise on his father Dharmendra. He expressed his admiration for his father’s performance in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.

Bobby said, “Papa ne jo kaam kiya hai Rocky rani ne voh role koi aur nahi kar sakta tha. Gadar ne toh gadar macha diya.” Talking about the film, Dharmendra was seen playing the role of grandfather of Ranveer Singh. What caught the audience by surprise was a lip-lock sequence between veteran actors Dharmendra and Shabana Azmi. In a particular scene, the two star-crossed lovers meet after years of separation. In the scene, everything around them comes to a standstill as Dharmendra sings the popular retro song Abhi Na Jao Chhod Kar and seals their reunion with a passionate kiss.

Talking about the film Animal, the trailer showcases Ranbir Kapoor’s troubled relationship with his father Balbir (played by Anil Kapoor) and how it changes (for better or worse). Ranbir Kapoor’s character has idolised his father ever since childhood. On Wednesday, it was revealed that the movie has been granted ‘A’ – adult-only certificate by the Central Board of Film Certification. It was further revealed that the Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial is 3 hours and 21 minutes long.

Besides Ranbir and Anil, Animal also features Rashmika Mandanna in key roles. The trailer presents how Ranbir’s character’s attachment to his father leads him on the path of becoming a gangster, eventually coming to face with his nemesis, played by Bobby Deol. Animal marks Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s second directorial venture in Bollywood, after Shahid Kapoor’s Kabir Singh. Animal marks the first collaboration between Sandeep and Ranbir. The film is scheduled to be released in theatres on December 1.
