- Expected to be larger and better equipped than standard R 1300 GS
BMW R 1300 GSA, details
The R 1300 GS Adventure is expected to share the same Boxer engine as the standard R 1300 GS. The standard R 1300 GS gets a 1,300cc twin cylinder boxer engine that produces 145hp at 7,750rpm and 149Nm of torque at 6,500rpm. However, the bigger question is if it’ll come equipped with a traditional six-speed gearbox or with BMW’s newly teased Automated Shift Assistant (ASA) gearbox. As customary with GS Adventure models, the R 1300 GSA is anticipated to outweigh the regular GS due in part to a larger fuel tank.
The motorcycle hasn’t been visually revealed just yet but knowing BMW, the R 1300 GSA will likely be larger in size and have a more rugged aesthetic and equipment list to conquer bad roads. The silhouette showcases a slightly broader motorcycle along with additional lights adjacent to the X-shaped headlight. Upon its launch in India, the R 1300 GSA will compete with the likes of the Honda Africa Twin, Triumph Tiger 1200 Rally Pro, Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally and Harley Davidson Pan America 1250.
