Inside, the 220i M Performance edition will get a dual-tone black and beige interior. While there is no information about the features list of the M Performance edition, we expect it to be carried over from the standard 2 Series Gran Coupe. It will likely get two 10.25-inch screens – one for the digital instrument cluster and one for the infotainment touchscreen – along with a wireless charger, head-up display, rear view camera and dual-zone climate control. For safety, the 2 Series Gran Coupe gets six airbags and seat belts for all passengers as standard.Â

Under the hood, the 2 Series M Performance edition will get the 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that produces 179hp and 280Nm, mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. It can do a 0-100kph run in 7.1 seconds (claimed).
BMW 2 Series M Performance edition price and rivals
Prices for the M Performance edition will be announced on September 7 and we expect it to be priced slightly higher than the M Sport Pro trim.
