Harrier has the shortest waiting period; Seltos can be another alternative.
I have booked the top-end Hyundai Creta diesel automatic, but the waiting period is currently too long. My daily run is around 75km with a mix of city and highway. Should I switch to the Creta petrol instead for early delivery? Or opt for a different petrol automatic SUV in this price range? My requirements are good ride quality, automatic gearbox and a spacious cabin.

Autocar India says: Since your daily run is high, you’ll certainly benefit from the higher efficiency and relatively lower running costs of a diesel automatic than a petrol-auto, and the Hyundai Creta meets your requirements perfectly. Other options you may consider are the Kia Seltos and the Mahindra XUV700, however, their waiting periods are may just be as long as the Hyundai, if not more. If you can’t wait too long and need a car at the earliest, do check out the Tata Harrier. It doesn’t feel as car-like as the Creta, but it is spacious, feels tough and is a competent offering.
