Bengaluru Tech Summit to begin on Wednesday, to host participants from 30 countries


Tech industry leaders, startup founders, investors and researchers from more than 30 countries will participate in the November 29 to December 1 ‘Bengaluru Tech Summit 2023’, said Priyank Kharge, Karnataka’s minister for information technology, on Saturday.


The summit, with the theme ‘Breaking Boundaries’, will have more than 75 sessions, more than 400 speakers, 350 startups, 600 exhibitors, and 20,000 business attendees.

Bagdat Mussin, minister of digital development, innovations, and aerospace industry of Kazakhstan, and Mark Papermaster, executive vice president and chief technology officer of semiconductor company Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), will also be present.

At the summit, a 1:1 scale model of India’s third lunar mission Chandrayaan 3 lander will be on display. NR Narayana Murthy, cofounder of Infosys, Nikhil Kamath, cofounder of Zerodha, Rajeev Chandrasekhar, union minister of state for electronics and information technology, and Jaya Jagadish, country head and senior vice president of silicon design engineering at AMD India, will be among the speakers.

The summit will feature a multi-track conference on IT and electronics, deep tech, startups and biotech, an international exhibition, Global Innovation Alliance, India-USA Tech Conclave, R&D-Lab2Market, B2B meetings, STPI IT Export Awards, Smart Bio Awards, VC Awards, ATF Awards, rural IT quiz, bio quiz and bio posters.

The event will host key figures from the Indian industry, including Rishad Premji, executive chairman of Wipro; Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, chairperson, vision group on biotechnology, Karnataka, and executive chairperson of Biocon; Kris Gopalakrishnan, chairman, vision group on IT, Karnataka, and co-founder of Infosys; Prashanth Prakash, chairman, vision group on startups, Karnataka, and founding partner of Accel Partners India; Nivruti Rai, managing director and chief executive of Invest India; BV Naidu, chairman, Karnataka Digital Economy Mission; and Arvind Kumar, director general of Software Technology Parks of India (STPI).

The ITE and deeptech track will have sessions on opportunities for Global capability centres (GCCs), artificial intelligence (AI), technology for sustainability, future mobility, cybersecurity and cyberwarfare, 5G adoption and future wireless technologies, electronics and semiconductors, spacetech, web 3.0, animation, gaming and VFX.The startup track will include sessions on digital public goods, ideas on IPO, emerging tech, fintech, agritech 4.0, Bharat opportunity, and startup India. Large delegations from the Global Innovation Alliance (GIA) partner nations are expected to participate in the event.
