Bad Newz stars Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri and Ammy Virk in lead roles.
Vicky Kaushal and Triptii Dimri’s film Bad Newz is causing waves at the box office. Within two days, the film has already minted around Rs 20 crores at the box office. On Day 1, the film earned around Rs 9 Crores, and now on the second day, the film has collected around Rs 10 Crores.
The film which also stars Ammy Virk in a pivotal role, recorded an overall occupancy of 22.81 per cent in the Hindi market. While morning shows saw an occupancy of 13.39 per cent, it increased to 30.21 per cent and 37.51 per cent during the evening and night shows respectively.
Backed by producers Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Amritpal Singh Bindra, and Anand Tiwari, Bad Newz is a rom-com that features a fresh trio of talents – Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri, and Ammy Virk. The film’s offbeat storyline, where Dimri’s character finds out she’s expecting twins from two different fathers, portrayed by Kaushal and Virk, has intrigued audiences and sparked curiosity about the movie’s plot.
Vicky Kaushal has also been grabbing attention for his dance moves in Tauba Tauba song. Besides this, his sizzling chemistry with Triptii in the intimate song Jaanam has also grabbed everyone’s attention. Directed by Anand Tiwari, Bad Newz also features Neha Dhupia.
On Friday, Vicky’s ladylove, Katrina Kaif also reviewed the film. She took to her Instagram handle and shared the poster of the film. Heaping praises at the stat cast and especially Vicky Kaushal, Katrina penned, “And it’s hereeee… just too much fun this was, Bromance gets a new meaning with the Punjabi boys, effortless timing and chemistry @vickykaushal09 u always amaze me with your ease and the joy u bring on screen @ammyvirk Just loved you in every scene @tripti_dimri you are just Congratulations to @bindraamritpal @anandntiwari @karanjohar.”
Later, Triptii Dimri’s rumoured beau Sam Merchant also gave a positive review to Bad Newz. He took to his Instagram stories and shared the song Tauba Tauba song. He wrote, “Great performance thoroughly entertaining! @TriptiiDimri Ufff!!”
