Ayushmann Khurrana is hosting a bash on Monday to celebrate the success of Dream Girl 2 with his fans.
Ayushmann Khurrana’s Dream Girl 2 was released in theatres on August 25 this year. Since then, the film has witnessed massive success at the box office. The film has collected over Rs. 100 crore worldwide, making it Ayushmann’s biggest opener to date. Overwhelmed with all the love that he is receiving for Dream Girl 2, the ecstatic actor has decided to celebrate this big win with his fans. Ayushmann is all set to host a success party with fans on Monday, September 11.
These fans have been a pillar of strength for him and Ayushmann wanted to thank them for their belief in him. The young actor, who is a rank outsider to Bollywood, has made inroads in the industry because of sheer talent and love from people from across the country since his debut film. He believes he has been truly fortunate to have fans who support him unconditionally. This bash is his way of thanking them and making them a part of his big win.
Earlier, Ayushmann exclusively spoke to about the Dream Girl franchise. He said, “Most of my films really do well in the plexes. But Dream Girl penetrated really deep into the interiors and the tier two and tier three cities. When I was shooting for Dream Girl 2 in Mathura, I realized that Dream Girl is the most popular film in Mathura. They probably didn’t know much about Andhadhun (2018) even though it fetched me a National Award but they were more excited about Dream Girl. So, I guess, it was an organic step to make a sequel of the film.”
“I’ve not done a big-budget film till now, my films are either low-budget or mid-budget but they’re high on content. So, that gives me great confidence and encouragement. I’m glad that Dream Girl 2 ticks all the right boxes. It’s a sequel and it’s for a larger palate,” he added.
Dream Girl also features performances by Ananya Panday, Paresh Rawal, Annu Kapoor and Rajpal Yadav among others.
