Ayaan Agnihotri On Eid Lunches at Salman Khan's: 'Sohail Mamu Becomes One Of The Kids' | Exclusive – DellyRanks

Salman Khan and Ayaan Agnihotri recently collaborated on Party Fever.

Ayaan Agnihotri says family time with cousins at Arpita Farms makes for his ‘most favourite vacation’. He adds how different Sohail Khan and Arbaaz Khan are.

Salman Khan’s family and their elaborate lunches and dinners are quite popular and social media pictures are proof. The recent trailer launch event for Prime Video’s Angry Young Men that chronicles the lives of Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar saw the whole family – including Salman, Sohail, Arbaaz, Alvira, Arhaan, Nirvaan and Ayaan – coming together to show their love, support and respect for the patriarch.

While mutual love among families is not uncommon, the Khans keep making headlines for the support they extend towards one another every time there’s a new release or a third generation member making their debut. Every Eid, the Khans, the Agnihotris and the Sharmas come together for their famous annual luncheon and pictures from the soirees go viral creating a splash on the internet.

Now in a freewheeling exclusive chat with Showsha, Atul Agnihotri and Alvira Khan Agnihotri’s son, Ayaan, spills the beans on how the day at Galaxy Apartments looks like. “It’s like lunch at any big family’s. It’s pretty normal. But it’s also loud, there are lots of jokes and one random shout here and there. Then we’ve some elders telling us to sit straight and do this and do that. We sit down for lunch at three o’clock. Nana goes and sits first. Once he starts eating, we kids join him at the table,” he says.

And in his grandfather’s absence, it’s Sohail who takes over the table and ‘becomes one of the children’ in the family. “There are so many people that we take rounds at the table. If nana decides to eat late, Sohail mamu gets to the table first and starts eating and then Nirvaan, Arhaan and I join him. Sohail mamu is the best!” Ayaan adds.

Recalling how Sohail – his ‘most chill mamu’ – would take the kids along for random vacations, he shares, “Growing up, he would take me, Nirvaan, Arhaan and our friends literally anywhere. He would get up and tell us, ‘Let’s go to Goa or Alibaug!’ No maids would accompany us. It would just be us – all seven kids – and him. He would take our responsibilities because he loves spending time with us.”

And what are his thoughts on Arbaaz? “While Sohail mamu is the most fun, Arbaaz mamu can scare me sometimes. He keeps you on your toes and you never know with him! He’s really fun, then suddenly gets very serious and then becomes fun again. He has a very wicked sense of humour,” Ayaan chuckles.

For him, his most favourite staycations includes their trips to Arpita Farms where everyone comes together and has a whale of a time. “Our weekends in Panvel are my most favourite family vacations. That’s home for us and nothing compares to it,” he says. Talking about his cousins, Ayaan remarks, “My favourite cousin is Arhaan. Arhaan, Alizeh and I have this tendency to laugh out loud during arguments. I spoil my younger cousins rotten. I drop Ahil to school every morning. As for Nirvaan, he can bargain till he dies when he wants to (laughs).”
