Lokesh Kanagaraj reacts to fan comparing Animal’s trailer machine gun scene with LCU.

Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal trailer had fans remicising about Lokesh Kanagaraj’s LCU. Here’s why.

Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal’s trailer released on Thursday and it featured several jaw-dropping moments. One of them was the actor pulling out a massive machine gun and firing away at his enemies. The scene had everyone talking but one fan dragged Lokesh Kanagaraj into the conversation. On X, previously known as Twitter, a handle named @illusionistChay shared a screenshot of Ranbir with a machine gun and blamed Lokesh for it.

“Blaming Lokesh Kanagaraj for this atrocity! Literally, every new movie has such a machine gun scene,” the social media user wrote. The post caught the Leo director’s attention and he couldn’t help but like the post. When the person who originally posted the comment noticed, they took a screenshot and reached out to Lokesh to clarify that they were just joking. “Lokesh bro, it was a joke ,” the post read. Lokesh went on to like the follow up post as well.

For the unversed, Lokesh included a machine gun scene in Kaithi and Vikram. Kaithi starred Karthi in the titular role while Kamal Haasan played the titular role in Vikram. Both the movies not only featured machine guns but also other heavy guns.

Meanwhile, Animal is set to release on December 1 and this will be the first time that Ranbir Kapoor will be seen in such an avatar. The Bollywood actor plays the role of a gangster who is out to seek revenge after his father, played by Anil Kapoor, is attacked.

Apart from Ranbir, the film also stars Rashmika Madanna and Bobby Deol. Animal marks Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s second directorial venture in Bollywood, after Shahid Kapoor’s Kabir Singh. Animal marks the first collaboration between Sandeep and Ranbir. The film is scheduled to be released in theatres on December 1.
