Arjun Kapoor has fallen victim to online scams in the past. The actor, following the incident, dropped a post on Instagram stories on Wednesday, warning his fans about the fraudulent activities being done in his name. In his post including an elaborate note, he shared details about the scam involving someone impersonating his manager. To caution everyone, Arjun Kapoor also revealed how the scammer has been trying to trick people into sharing personal information or clicking on malicious links.
His post read, “It’s come to my attention that a random account is reaching out to people claiming to be my manager and offering opportunities to connect with me. Please know that these messages are not legitimate, and I have no association with them. I would never ask anyone to click on links or share personal details Through such means. Please don’t fall for these scams-stay safe and alert. If you come across such messages. Kindly report the account immediately. Have a safe and merry Christmas.”
Work-wise, Arjun Kapoor last portrayed the modern version of Raavan, Danger Lanka in Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again. His role of the antagonist in the fifth installement of Shetty’s cop universe won critical acclaim, earning him love from his fans as well. Apart from Arjun Kapoor, Singham Again boasts an ensemble cast including Ajay Devgn, Tiger Shroff, Ranveer Singh, Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor Khan. The film was released on November 1, witnessing a huge clash with Kartik Aaryan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.
In a post, Arjun Kapoor thanked Rohit Shetty for offering him the opportunity to play the pivotal role in the film.
He dropped a bunch of pictures from the BTS of the film, attached to a note that read, “The perfect role, at the right time, with a director who believes in you – sometimes, that’s all it takes. Grateful beyond words for the trust he’s shown in me when not many were willing to, and for creating a character so close to his vision that the audiences have loved. Next, Arjun Kapoor is collaborating with his father Boney Kapoor for No Entry 2. Varun Dhawan and Diljit Dosanjh will also key roles in the film.
