AR Rahman is currently basking in the success of his recent collaboration with Imtiaz Ali – Diljit Dosanjh starter Amar Singh Chamkila. Amid this, he was recently asked about the possibility of a collaboration with Taylor Swift. Rahman called her an inspiration and said he would create whatever type of song she wanted with her.
In a recent interview with Connect FM Canada, he said, “Whatever she wants! If she wants a dance number, it will be a dance number, if she wants a romantic number, it will be a romantic number. She writes the lyrics anyway!” he shared.
Taylor Swift recently made her smashing debut on Forbes’ 2024 billionaires list. The pop superstar, who reached billionaire status in October, joined Rihanna, Kim Kardashian, Oprah Winfrey and Star Wars creator George Lucas among others on the world’s billionaires list. Swift was ranked at No. 14 with a massive net worth of $1.1 billion (approximately Rs 9,169 crores).
Speaking about her achievement, Rahman said, “If people take the power of music to do good things, it is great. Michael Jackson had the power to do that. He did a lot of charity concerts and did philanthropy work in Africa. It is nice to see Taylor attaining that. She has gone through so much. She got cheated and made a comeback. She is a good case study and inspiration for musicians.”

Portraying the lead role is Diljit Dosanjh, while Parineeti Chopra takes on the character of his on-screen wife, Amarjot Kaur.
