Aprilia RS 457 delivery details, price in India
The Aprilia RS 457 is powered by a liquid-cooled, 457cc, parallel-twin engine making 47.6hp at 9,400rpm and 43.5Nm at 6,700rpm. What sets this Indo-Italian parallel-twin mill apart from its primary Japanese rivals is its uneven firing order owing to its 270-degree crankshaft. This lends the bike a deeper and more grizzly exhaust note, which is something only seen on larger bikes. It’s also the only bike in its class with an aluminum perimeter chassis.Â
While our experience with it on track was highly positive, there was one issue that we did report. To read our detailed review of the very first made-in-India Aprilia bike, tap here.
Currently, 31 dealers across India are authorised to retail the Aprilia RS 457, with the inaugural batch of 100 bikes set to be delivered this month. The company intends to scale up production of the made-in-India RS very soon and the delivery figures should see a healthy bump up from April onwards.
At Rs 4.10 lakh (ex-showroom, Maharashtra), the Aprilia RS 457 comfortably undercuts its primary twin-cylinder rivals from Yamaha and Kawasaki, while simultaneously bringing more features to the table.Â
