Apple is gearing up to introduce the new generation of iPhone alongside the Apple Watch Series 7 and. However, a new rumor suggests that the Cupertino giant might also announce a new iPad later today at the “California Streaming” event.
According to Weibo tipster PandaIsBaid (via Macrumors), Apple will be announcing the ninth generation of entry-level iPad at the event scheduled for today. The new iPad will be an upgrade to last year’s baseline iPad eighth generation.
As per earlier rumors, the new iPad might come with a 10.5-inch display with improved performance. Like previous entry-level iPads, this one will be more focused on students looking for an affordable option for their studies.
PandaIsBaid implies that the ninth generation iPad would be available in up to 256GB storage variant. The A12 Bionic chip might power the new iPad, and it could feature an 8MP back camera with a FaceTime HD camera on the front.
The image shared by the Weibo user suggests that the display would be fully laminated, and the upcoming iPad would have all-day battery life. Further, it will come with support for Smart Keyboard and Apple Pencil.
