Apple showcases annual “AR experience” Easter egg, ahead of WWDC 2023

Apple has released its annual “AR experience” easter egg ahead of the WWDC keynote event scheduled for Monday, June 5. This year, Apple’s WWDC 2023 imagery features a captivating bubble-inspired theme, highlighting the vibrant colors of iridescent thin film interference.

According to MacRumors, the AR experience showcases a bubble in the shape of the Apple logo, gracefully rotating clockwise, with the date of June 5, 2023 elegantly displayed at the center.

Reportedly, to access the AR experience, simply visit the Apple Events website using an iPhone or iPad and select the option “View the AR experience.” You can then utilize your device’s camera to scan your surroundings and witness the Apple logo-shaped bubble in real time. Alternatively, you can choose the “Object” mode to examine a more defined representation of the logo without the need to navigate your physical environment.

Apple’s highly anticipated event is scheduled to commence on Monday, June 5, at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time. The event will be accessible through various platforms, including YouTube, the events webpage, and the Apple TV app. It’s worth noting that Apple does not charge any fees for WWDC tickets, ensuring that all developers have the opportunity to attend the event free of charge.

At each WWDC event, Apple introduces updates for iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS, tailored specifically for developers. This year, we anticipate the unveiling of iOS 17, iPadOS 17, macOS 14, tvOS 17, and watchOS 10, alongside the highly anticipated announcement of Apple’s AR/VR headset.

Apple may finally take the wraps off its AR/VR headset at WWDC 2023 event. According to rumours, the device is said to come with an external battery pack to be worn on the waist. It may be powered by Apple silicon chipset powering the Macs. The headset will offer only gesture-based control with no physical controller.

It may have a 4K micro OLED display with cameras that can read facial expressions, detect body movements, and map the surrounding areas.
