Apple Scary Fast event: MacBook Air, MacBook Air Pro and everything expected

Apple recently announced the ‘Scary Fast’ event, scheduled for October 30 at 5:00 PM PT/5:30 AM IST. The event is highly anticipated, with the spotlight firmly on MacBooks.

There have been persistent rumors about Apple unveiling its next-generation chipset, the M3, and it is speculated that this event will serve as a platform to showcase its capabilities, as per HT Tech. The rumored M3 lineup is said to encompass four variants: M3, M3 Pro, M3 Max, and M3 Ultra.

Mark Gurman of Bloomberg previously reported that Apple had been conducting internal testing of various Mac devices, including an iMac, MacBook Air, and MacBook Pro, all powered by the M3 chipset. Surprisingly, none of these devices made their debut at the Wonderlust event on September 12.

However, there are strong indications that Apple might unveil its M3-powered devices at the upcoming October event, suggests the report. Additionally, rumors suggest that a long-anticipated 24-inch iMac could also make an appearance, as it has been in development for a considerable period.

Recent media reports had hinted at the possibility of Apple expanding its iPad lineup with announcements expected on October 17. However, that anticipation did not materialize. Instead, Apple revealed a more affordable alternative to the Apple Pencil 2nd Generation.

There are no anticipated iPad-related announcements at the upcoming ‘Scary Fast’ event. According to Mark Gurman, Apple’s plans for releasing iPads, such as the iPad Mini, iPad Air, and iPad 11th Generation, are supposedly scheduled for 2024. It is important to note that this information is derived from unofficial sources and should be treated with caution until Apple officially confirms it, which is expected to occur at the ‘Scary Fast’ event on October 30.

Apple’s year has been marked by numerous product launches, surpassing its previous annual releases. In June, the company introduced the latest operating systems for its devices, unveiled a new 15-inch MacBook Air, and introduced the Vision Pro, its inaugural spatial computer. Following that, at the Wonderlust event on September 12, the Cupertino-based tech giant revealed the iPhone 15 series along with the new Apple Watches. Nevertheless, there has been one conspicuous absence – new Macs.
