Weeks before Apple hosts its annual developer conference – WWDC 2023, the company has released iOS 16.6 and iPadOS 16.6 beta to developers. Developers who have enrolled in the Apple beta programme can either visit the Apple Developer Centre or update their devices running the beta versions.
Exact features coming with the latest iOS and iPadOS beta are not known yet. It is likely that the feature will be revealed as developers interact with the latest iOS beta.
Apple will host this year’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) on June 5 where it will unveil latest software – iOS 17.
The rollout comes days after the iPhone maker seeded iOS 16.5 and iPadOS 16.5 to the public. With iOS 16.5, Apple has added a new sports page in the Apple News app. Users will be able to follow their favourite sports teams, players, and different leagues. Additionally, My Sports score and schedule cards in Apple News will take users to the game pages where they can find additional details about specific games.
Apple iOS 16.5 also adds a new Pride Celebration wallpaper to honour the LGBTQ+ community and their culture. The new wallpaper can be used on both the lock and home screens and comes with some interesting animations.
In addition to the above mentioned features, Apple has also fixed many issues with iOS 16.5 including an issue where Spotlight may become unresponsive, the issue with Podcasts in CarPlay not loading content, and an issue where Screen Time settings may have reset or not sync across all devices.
