Ankita Lokhande one of the finalists of Bigg Boss 17, which was won by Munawar Faruqui.
Days after the Bigg Boss 17 finale, Ankita Lokhande is now all set to return to the big screen once again. The actress will soon be seen in Randeep Hooda starrer Swatantra Veer Savarkar. On Tuesday, Ankita took to her X (formerly known as Twitter) handle and announced that the film will hit theatres on March 22, 2024. She also mentioned that starting this “new chapter” after Bigg Boss 17 feels “extra special”.
“Bringing light to the lost leader from the chapters of history! Starting a new chapter, right after BB17 feels extra special❤️ Grateful to be a part of this project alongside @RandeepHooda, produced by @anandpandit63 @ZeeStudios_ Don’t miss out on the date, 22nd March 2024 in your nearby theatres,” she wrote.
Swatantra Veer Savarkar is the biopic of Vinayak Damodar Savarkar. The film marks Randeep Hooda’s debut as a director. It landed in legal trouble last year after Hooda issued a statement claiming full ownership of the film. Mahesh Manjrekar, who was initially supposed to direct the biopic, also claimed that he left the project due to Randeep Hooda’s interference.
Meanwhile, Ankita Lokhande recently walked out of the Bigg Boss 17 house. She is one of the finalists on Salman Khan’s show along with Munawar Faruqui, Abhishek Kumar, Arun Mashetty and Mannara Chopra. The grand finale of the show was held on Sunday, January 28 in which Munawar emerged as the winner. Among others, the finale was also attended by Ankita’s businessman husband, Vicky Jain, who was also a contestant on the show. Ankita’s mother and mother-in-law were also present during the finale episode to extend their support to the actress.
