Ananya and Sara have sparked speculations that they will feature together in Cocktail 2.
It was reported yesterday that Ananya Panday is likely to be approached to play one of the female leads in Desi Boyzz 2 with Varun Dhawan and Tiger Shroff. Now, the latest reports claim that she and Sara Ali Khan are in talks for Cocktail 2. The speculation arose after the two actresses were spotted leaving the office of Maddock Films, the production house behind Cocktail.
Ananya looked gorgeous in a white tank top and jeans. She left her hair open and opted for a simple look. She completed her look with a black handbag. Meanwhile, Sara also opted for a casual yet chic look in a white cropped T-shirt and black pants. She also let her mane flow naturally. Watch here:
The original 2012 film featured Sara’s father Saif Ali Khan as the lead actor. Deepika Padukone and Diana Penty were the lead actresses. Cocktail was Diana’s debut film. Randeep Hooda and Dimple Kapadia also played key characters in the movie. All performances were lauded by the audiences and the critics alike. An official statement from the makers is awaited on their casting for the film’s casting.
As for Desi Boyzz 2, according to the latest reports, Varun Dhawan and Tiger Shroff have been approached for the sequel of the popular Akshay Kumar-John Abraham film and Ananya Panday might play one of the female leads.
Hindustan Times quoted a source as saying, “Desi Boyzz 2 actors are still getting finalised, they will locked once the scripting is done completely. But yes, it’s true that the OGs John and Akshay won’t be coming again in part two.”
“There are talks about approaching Varun Dhawan and Tiger Shroff for the lead roles. The story of part two will be completely different and with new actors, just the title remains the same.” the source said. “Ananya Panday might be approached as Varun’s romantic partner, but the second actress’ name is still being contemplated and there are no specific names in mind for that,” the source added. However, an official confirmation from the makers is awaited.
