Actor Amruta Subhash, during a recent chat, discussed her highly praised role in Lust Stories 2 and her much talked-about intimate scene.
Actor Amruta Subhash, who was a part of the Netflix Actors’ Roundtable this year, discussed her highly praised role in Lust Stories 2. The Netflix anthology featured a segment directed by Konkona Sen Sharma titled Mirror. During the discussion, Amruta shared that she had to request some time from ‘Koko’ (Konkona’s moniker) to become at ease with the notion of filming quite a few intimate scenes with her co-star and real-life best friend, Shrikant Yadav. The panel included Kajol, Jaydeep Ahlawat, Kareena Kapoor, Tillotama Shome, Sidharth Malhotra and Sanya Malhotra.
The segment titled Mirror revolves around a domestic worker who invites her husband to her employer’s (portrayed by Tillotama Shome) residence for intimate moments while the employer is in office. One day, the employer discovers them, but her response is far from what anyone expected.
Amruta mentioned that both she and Shrikant felt anxious about filming intimate scenes together, given their long-standing friendship. Surprisingly, Shrikant found reassurance in an unexpected source.
“When I read the script, there were so many intimate scenes and I am scared of those. So I told Koko that I need one day with Shrikant, who is my best friend of (many) years. He’s like ‘main tere saath ye nahi kar sakta (I can’t do this with you).’ My husband is his friend and also an actor. He is telling him ‘tu karlega, acche se karlega (you’ll do it well)’,” said Amruta.
Earlier, Amruta had opened up on her first sex scene for the series Sacred Games 2 which was directed by Anurag Kashyap. She revealed that the filmmaker had asked her about her period dates before they shot the sex scene. She explained that he wanted to know for the team did not want to schedule a sex scene to shoot around her period dates.
“I did my first sex scene with Anurag in Sacred Games 2. There was no question about being a man or a woman. He was extremely sensitive. He called the direction team. He was the one who asked me the question, what are your period dates, so they don’t schedule the sex scenes around that. ‘You will do it during your periods?’ He asked that’” she had said in a chat with Netflix India.
