Bhumi Rajgor talks about her experience in Stree 2 and hints at Stree 3.
Bhumi Rajgor teases the possibility of fighting Akshay Kumar in Stree 3 after the success of Stree 2, while revealing behind-the-scenes secrets from the set.
The recently released Stree 2, starring Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, has taken the box office by storm, delighting fans with its mix of horror and comedy. The film, which also featured a special appearance by Akshay Kumar, has left audiences eager for the next installment in the franchise. Amid this excitement, Bhumi Rajgor, who plays the titular character in Stree 2, recently discussed the potential for a third film and what it might entail.
In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Bhumi opened up about her experience working on Stree 2 and shared her thoughts on the possibility of a face-off with Akshay Kumar in the rumored Stree 3. “I’m not sure yet, but looking at the film’s reception, I’m hopeful there will be a Stree 3,” she said. “I have to admit, I’d be a little scared to go up against Akshay Kumar—he’s a martial arts expert after all!” she added with a laugh.
Bhumi also revealed some interesting behind-the-scenes details, including the fact that she wasn’t given the full script of the film. To maintain the mystery around her character, the filmmakers kept her role under wraps, even from her. “Everyone assumed Shraddha was Stree, and the truth had to be kept a secret,” Bhumi explained. “I didn’t even get to read the full script—I only got to see the climax on the assistant director’s phone during the shoot.”
In addition to these revelations, Bhumi shared a lighthearted anecdote about the unique atmosphere on set. According to the actress, the filmmakers had a fun tradition where a song related to each actor’s character would be played whenever they arrived on set. “Since I was playing a ghost, songs like ‘Gumnaam Hai Koi’ would be played,” Bhumi recalled. “The actor would start dancing, and everyone would join in. It really helped create a fun mood on set.”
Directed by Amar Kaushik, Stree 2 hit theaters on August 14 and has been a massive success. The film features an ensemble cast, including Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Abhishek Banerjee, Pankaj Tripathi, and Aparshakti Khurrana.
