On September 20, the Akkineni family celebrated the 100th birth anniversary of the legendary actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao. The festivities began with the unveiling of his Panchaloha statue at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad. Mahesh Babu, Ram Charan, and former Vice President of India M. Venkaiah Naidu were among the notable attendees at the event in the city.
Akkineni Nageswara Rao, often referred to as ANR, played a pivotal role in elevating the Telugu film industry to greater heights. His timeless classics continue to be cherished, and on September 20, his 100th birth anniversary was commemorated with the unveiling of his statue at Annapurna Studios. Throughout the year, many events honouring his life and legacy are scheduled to take place. The statue was unveiled by former Vice President of India, M. Venkaiah Naidu.
The entire Akkineni family, including Nagarjuna, Naga Chiatanya, Akhil and Sumanth were present at the venue. Superstar Mahesh Babu, accompanied by his wife, former actress Namrata Shirodkar, made an appearance at the event. Ram Charan also attended and could be seen sharing a light moment with Mahesh Babu and Namrata.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Chiranjeevi shared throwback photos with ANR and wrote a heartwarming note remembering the legend.
