Aishwarya Rai was pulling Agastya Nanda’s leg while he posed on the red carpet of The Archies premiere. The actor is Shweta Bachchan’s son.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan did not shy away from teasing Shweta Bachchan’s son Agastya Nanda at the premiere of The Archies. The actress, who is married to Agastya’s uncle Amitabh Bachchan, was seen making her way to the premiere night with Bachchan family members Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Shweta, Abhishek and Aaradhya Bachchan. The family was present to show their support to Agastya for his debut project, The Archies. While the family was seen posing together on the red carpet, Agastya was seen posing solo. As he was posing solo, Aishwarya was seen teasing him.
In a video shared by a paparazzo, Aishwarya was seen telling Agastya to get used to the cameras and the attention he’s receiving on the red carpet. The moment left everyone in the Bachchan family in splits, especially Abhishek and Aaradhya. They were seen laughing as they made their way to the screening. Watch the video below:
In another video, Aishwarya was seen inviting Agastya to join her, Abhishek and Aaradhya for a photo-op. Not only did Aishwarya hold Agastya close, she was also directing the four of them towards each set of paparazzi so that they could get the perfect photos.
The Archies is directed by Zoya Akhtar. Speaking about casting Agastya, Zoya revealed that he was the last actor to have been roped in for the film. In an interview wiht The Quint, Zoya said, “Agastya Nanda was cast last, and he thought it was a prank.”
A heartfelt coming-of-age tale set in the idyllic backdrop of the 1960s, ‘The Archies’ is a collaborative effort between Netflix India, Tiger Baby, Archie Comics, and Graphic India. Helmed by Zoya Akhtar, the film arrives on Netflix worldwide on December 7, 2023. ‘The Archies’ co-stars Dot (Aditi), Agastya Nanda, Khushi Kapoor, Mihir Ahuja, Vedang Raina and Yuvraj Menda in pivotal roles.
Apart from her acting debut, Suhana is also making her singing debut with the movie. Suhana revealed that she has lent her voice to ‘The Archies’ newly released song titled ‘Jab Tum Na Theen’. The song also features collaborations with other artists including Dot, Javed Akhtar, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and Tejas.
