Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan have been married for 16 years.
Abhishek Bachchan took to Instagram to wish his actress-wife Aishwarya Rai on her birthday. However, his post has not gone down well with Aishwarya’s fans, who called it ‘very dry’.
Aishwarya Rai fans are seemingly “angry” with Abhishek Bachchan for sharing “a very dry” birthday post for his wife on social media. Abhishek took to his Instagram account to share a throwback photo of Aishwarya and simply wrote: “Happy Birthday,” along with a red heart and evil eye emoji.
While Abhishek’s wish was adorable, it didn’t go down well with Aishwarya’s fans who thought the post lacked “personal touch”. One fan wrote, “You wrote article size wish for your father and for your wife only Happy Birthday?” Another one said, “Please add some personal touch. Like Happy Birthday to my dear wife or Darling. Why so dry?” A third user wrote, “Just imagine such a pretty wife and all the husband has to say is happy birthday…”
On the other hand, the couple’s fans are defending Abhishek, saying that “it’s choice what to post in public and what not. Romantic relationship is personal and private to some people and let’s respect that.”
Earlier, Aishwarya Rai fans got upset with Abhishek’s sister, Shweta Bachchan, for not acknowledging the actress on social media. Shweta had penned a long post on Instagram for her daughter Navya Naveli Nanda, who made her ramp debut for L’Oréal at the Paris Fashion Week. Her post talked about how she and her mother, Jaya Bachchan, got emotional after seeing Navya walking the ramp. However, she skipped mentioning Aishwarya, who also walked the runway for the same brand at the Paris Fashion Week.
