After inflation, this city has the highest price of gas cylinders in all metros: LPG cylinder price hike

The opposition parties began to criticize the BJP-led Central government after the price of LPG cylinders increased in several cities, when the price of a gas cylinder exceeded Rs 1,000 in all metropolises.

The central government led by the Bhartiya Janta Party decided to raise the prices of commercial and domestic Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinders in several metro cities by Rs 350 and Rs 50, respectively.

The rise in the cost of both domestic and commercial LPG cylinders has resulted in the price of gas cylinders exceeding Rs 1000 in all major Indian cities, placing a significant financial strain on households beginning on March 1.


In the midst of the rise in the cost of LPG cylinders, Hyderabad has emerged as the metropolis with the highest rates of a necessity for everyday life. The cost of a LPG cylinder in Hyderabad has reached Rs 1150 following the country’s gas price inflation.

The retail price of a domestic LPG gas cylinder in Hyderabad has increased to Rs 1155 as a result of the increase in gas cylinder prices, while the retail price of a commercial cylinder has increased to Rs 2325. Kolkata has been noted to have the prices that rank second in the nation.

Delhi’s domestic LGP gas cylinder price is Rs 1103;
Chennai’s domestic price is Rs 1118.5;
Bengaluru’s domestic price is Rs 1105.5;
Kolkata’s domestic price is Rs 1129;
Hyderabad’s domestic price is Rs 1155.

On March 1, the central government announced that the domestic price of a 14.2 kg LPG cylinder had increased by Rs 50, while the commercial price of a 19 kg cylinder had increased by Rs 350.50, resulting in a new cost of Rs f Rs 2119.50.
