After Actress Leelavathi’s Demise, Her Pet Dog Blacky Spotted Sitting Alone; Photo Viral –


Leelavathi’s last rites were performed on December 9.


Videos of Leelavathi’s pet dog, Blacky, sitting by the entrance of her residence has surfaced.

Kannada film industry’s veteran actress Leelavathi passed away on December 8 due to age-related ailments. She was 85. Her demise left the film fraternity and her fans in a state of shock. Leelavathi has acted in more than 600 movies. She has starred in many movies by Dr Rajkumar, whom she was reportedly dating. Leelavathi was already sick for some time, during which many stars had visited her. After her shocking demise, Chief Minister of Karnataka, Siddaramaiah paid tribute to the talented star on X (formerly known as Twitter). Now, another latest update has been going viral. Reportedly, her four-legged friend is mourning Leelavathi’s loss and waiting for her return.

Several videos of her residence have surfaced on the internet which showed her pet dog, Blacky sitting by the entrance door, as if waiting for Leelavathi to come back. Reportedly, her house in Soladevanahalli, Bengaluru is engulfed in silence and a photo of hers has been placed. Many fans have been visiting the house to pay their respects. Fans and other celebrities have been mourning the loss of a star who has entertained the audience with her performances for many decades. Even Prime Minister Narendra Modi mourned her loss.

Police have been deployed in front of the house and the land in front was cleaned to make arrangements for parking for the dignitaries who arrived to pay their last respects to the actress.

Arrangements were made for the last darshan of Leelavathi, which began in the early morning at Ambedkar Stadium, Indiranagar. CM Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister, D K Shivakumar paid their last respects as well. At 3:30 pm the last rites were performed in her house. The CM had instructed that her last rites should be held with full government honours.
