Adivi Sesh and Shruti Haasan’s untitled film is set to be shot simultaneously in both Hindi and Telugu.

Adivi Sesh and Shruti Haasan have joined forces for an upcoming pan-India action drama, as announced by the producers today. The untitled film is set to be shot simultaneously in both Hindi and Telugu languages. The makers plan to reveal character posters and the film’s title, in the coming days.

According to a report in Indian Express, the markers confirmed in a statement, “Every frame, dialogue, and scene of the film is being shot separately in Hindi as well as in Telugu. It is being treated differently according to the cultural nuances of each language.”

This project marks Adivi Sesh’s second venture in Hindi cinema following his well-received biopic, Major (2022), where he portrayed the role of 26/11 hero Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan in the Sashi Kiran Tikka directorial. The upcoming film is produced by Supriya Yarlagadda, presented by Annapurna Studios, and helmed by Shaneil Deo, a U.S.-born and raised cinematographer.

Shaneil Deo, known for his work as the Director of Photography in Telugu blockbusters like Kshanam and Goodachari (both featuring Adivi Sesh), is making his feature directorial debut with this project. He has also directed the coming-of-age short film Layla, showcased in the Cannes Short Film Corner. Adivi Sesh and Shaneil Deo also share credits for the story and screenplay.

Talking about Annapurna Studios, the prominent production house in the Telugu-language film industry (commonly known as Tollywood) based in Hyderabad, has recently produced films like Bangarraju and Anubhavinchu Raja. Further details about the project will be disclosed soon.

Earlier, during a conversation with Pinkvilla, Adivi Sesh had said that his hands were full and that he had to reject many Hindi films due to his tight schedule. “I said no to eight Bollywood films as I already had commitments and they all wanted to start the work immediately. Some of them I loved creatively, but I had commitments to the projects I had committed before Major released. I have my hands full, and a lot of these movies, the next four, for sure, are releasing in Hindi as well. So, I’m not exactly worried about not being engaged in the lovely audience that has discovered me with Gooadachari and Major in Hindi,” the actor said.

On the work front, Adivi Sesh will be seen next in G2, the second film of the Goodachari franchise. Recently, on Monday, Adivi Sesh commenced filming for Goodachari 2, sharing the exciting news with a caption, “It Begins. MASSIVE. This is how we do it.”

The shooting for the pan-India film, which is being put together by the makers of The Kashmir Files, Karthikeya 2 and Major will commence soon.

On the other hand, Shruti Haasan is gearing up for the release of her highly anticipated film Salaar, co-starring Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran. The movie is scheduled to hit the theatres on 22 December 2023.
