Japan marks Karthi’s 25th movie as an actor and also features Tollywood comedian Sunil.
Karthi’s upcoming Tamil film Japan, directed by Raju Murugan, has been creating buzz ever since the movie was announced. Viewers were eagerly waiting for more updates about the film. Meanwhile, the latest updates about the movie are going viral.
According to the latest update, Karthi will look totally different in the film. On the other hand, director Raju Murugan has finished shooting for the movie. Now, the dubbing process for the film has started.
Tollywood comedian Sunil has made his acting debut in the Tamil industry through Japan. Along with this, music composer GV Prakash Kumar composed the music for the movie and S Ravi Varman has done the camera work. The film is said to hit theatres on the occasion of Diwali.
Earlier, the makers released the first-look poster for Japan which garnered immense appreciation from the viewers. The poster for the first look is tinted gold and is a close-up of a man’s chest which sports a chunky and circular golden pendant with a rupee and star symbol on it.
The upcoming film marks Karthi’s 25th movie as an actor. Meanwhile, on the occasion of Karthi’s birthday, the makers dropped the teaser for Japan. The teaser unveiled the actor’s character and stated that he plays neither the hero nor the villain. The clip introduces him as someone who is very mysterious. In the video, Karthi can be seen sporting a very different hairstyle and goes on to introduce himself as “Japan”, made in India.
The movie also stars Anu Emmanuel as the female lead. The film is backed by Dream Warrior Pictures which has earlier produced Karthi’s popular films like Saguni, Kashmora, Theeran Adhigaram Ondru, Kaithi, and Sultan.
Karthi was last seen in Mani Ratnam’s magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan 2. He portrayed the role of commander Vandhiyathevan in the film. The movie was a huge hit and collected over Rs 490 crore worldwide, becoming the third highest-grossing Indian film of the year.
