Kannada cinema star Duniya Vijay is currently appearing in Bheema, which was released on August 9. The film is amassing a lot of acclaim from critics and the audience alike for its theme of drug racket bust, aimed to spread awareness among youngsters. The actor has announced a drug awareness campaign in institutions, which he is set to carry out soon.
Duniya Vijay took to his official Instagram handle to announce the awareness campaign. The reports state that the actor is portraying the role of a real-life hero, with his dedication to spreading awareness on drug abuse around Bengaluru.
As per reports, the actor went live on Facebook and talked about a personal experience with drug users. He mentioned an encounter with youths, who were reportedly found abusing drugs in the early hours of the Sunday morning. The authorities seized tablet-like drugs from the youngsters and, their names and respective institutions have been kept under wraps, to protect their futures, the reports state. So, Vijay has decided to carry out awareness campaigns in Bengaluru institutions.
The actor aims to visit as many colleges as he can, and hope to educate the youth on drug abuse. His team will first obtain permission from the respective headmasters and only then will start their campaign. Through this, Duniya Vijay will also encourage the youth to watch Bheema, which explicitly deals with the topic of drug abuse.
Bheema is helmed by Duniya Vijay, who is also its lead and co-writer. The cast of the film includes Duniya Vijay, Ashwini, Black Dragon Manju, Kalyani Raju and Gili Gili Chandru. It is produced by Krishna Sarthak and Jagadeesh Gowda under the banners of Jagadeesh Films and Krishna Creations. The music in the film is handled by Charan Raj while the cinematography is done by Shiva Sena and the editor is Deepu S Kumar. The film has its theatrical release on August 9.
