One of the best social security programs for workers in a variety of industries in India is provided by the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization. In India, the workers’ provident fund is managed by the EPFO. It is a tool for saving money in which both the employer and employee contribute equally to savings that can be used for retirement or job changes.
You can check your EPF balance in a variety of ways, both online and offline:
- Missed call:
Users who have registered on the UAN site can make a missed call to 9966044425 from their registered cell phone number to access the information in their EPFO account. The member is not charged for this service, and the call is immediately ended after two rings. If the member’s UAN is seeded with one of their bank account numbers, Aadhar, or PAN, they will receive information about their most recent contribution and PF balance. - SMS
UAN-activated users can inquire about their most recent PF contribution and EPFO balance by sending an SMS to 7738299899 from a registered mobile phone. - UMANG App
Employees can check the status of their EPF accounts on their smartphones by downloading the Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance (UMANG) app. In addition to checking your EPF balances, you can use the app to file claims and track them. Users must first register once using their UAN-registered mobile number to access the app. - EPFO Portal
By using your UAN number and password on the Member e-Sewa Portal, you can access the EPFO website at epfindia.gov.in to check your statement.
