Chiranth Vishwanath and Sarthak Chavan continue their strong run in the 2024 MRF MMSC Indian National Motorcycle Racing championship. Both TVS riders won two races each in the Pro-Stock categories at Round 3, held at the Madras International Circuit.
Pro-Stock 301-400cc
Chavan led the majority of Race 1, but had to scrap it out with Vishwanath on the final lap. However, Vishwanath crashed going into the final corner, clearing the way for Chavan to take victory.
But Vishwanath bounced back in Race 2. Starting from P10 on the grid, he gained six places on the opening lap and went on to win ahead of A. Alwin Sundar and 11-time national champion Rajini Krishnan (who returned to the national championship after a year). This ended Chavan’s streak of consecutive wins, but he does still hold the overall championship lead, with a 39 points advantage over Vishwanath.
