- New Rally driving mode for dirt roads, tuned for oversteer
It is priced at USD 2,60,000 (roughly Rs 2.07 crore). It is yet to be launched in India. Lamborghini mentions that deliveries of the Urus Performante will begin before the end of 2022.
Lamborghini Urus Performante: performance
The Urus Performante is now lighter by 47kg. Along with the increased power, the super-SUV can sprint from 0-100kph in 3.3 seconds and has a top speed of 306kph. Additionally, it also gets an SUV-adapted version of the Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R performance tyres, as an option.
Lamborghini has also updated the drive modes on the Urus Performante, and it now gets a new Rally mode – aimed at dirt roads – along with the existing Strada, Sport and Corsa modes. Lamborghini mentions that this new mode has been tuned to have a bit of oversteer.
The Urus Performante now has a coil spring set-up, instead of the air springs that were present on the outgoing model. The new Urus is also 20mm lower, 16mm wider and 25mm longer than before.
Lamborghini Urus Performante: exterior and interior
A carbon fibre bonnet is now standard, and gets more prominent lines and two functional air vents. Partially exposed carbon fibre on the bonnet is available as an option, and so is a carbon fibre roof. The front bumper on the Urus Performante has also been redesigned with the new air vents helping cool the engine better.
In profile, the Urus Performante does not get many changes apart from a new design for the optional 23-inch alloy wheels. At the rear, the new SUV gets a refreshed design for the bumper and new vents. It also has a new rear spoiler that Lamborghini says aids downforce by 38 percent.
On the inside, the Urus Performante now gets Black Alcantara as standard – leather is optional – along with a new hexagonal design for the seats. Lamborghini is also offering a Dark Package that adds a Matte Black finish to various accents throughout. The super-SUV also gets Performante badging on the seats, doors and roof lining.
Lamborghini Urus Performante: rivals
The new Lamborghini super-SUV will compete with the likes of the Audi RSQ8, Aston Martin DBX 707 and Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT. It will also rival the upcoming Ferrari Purosangue SUV that will debut next month.
