2022 KTM RC 390 priced at Rs 3.14 lakh

Priced at Rs 3.14 lakh, the new RC 390 costs around Rs 36,000 more than its predecessor.

Ahead of its official launch, prices for the 2022 KTM RC 390 have been revealed. The manufacturer has updated its India website with the new model and has listed it for Rs 3.14 lakh (ex-showroom).

Compared to the outgoing version, the new RC 390 costs about Rs 36,000 more. For the extra cash, you get plenty of cosmetic, mechanical and feature changes.

In terms of appearance, the new RC 390 adopts the same fairing design, new split seats and alloy wheels as the updated RC 125 and RC 200 that are already on sale. However, the RC 390 does get different colour options (KTM Factory Racing Blue and KTM Electronic Orange) and a side-slung exhaust end-can.

As we had reported earlier, the 2022 KTM RC 390 does get adjustable suspension. However, the website only confirms that the rear monoshock is andjustable. It remains to be seen if the front forks are adjustable too. Other new features on the RC 390 include an LED headlight and a Bluetooth-equipped TFT instrument cluster, both of which the 390 Duke has had since 2017. The latest RC 390 is also equipped with electronic rider aids like traction control and cornering ABS, and a larger 13.7-litre fuel tank.

As for the engine, the 2022 RC 390 continues to be powered by KTM’s 373cc, single-cylinder liquid-cooled unit. However, it does get updated mapping and a 40 percent larger airbox, which has slightly bumped up the torque to 37Nm at 7,000rpm. Power output remains unchanged though, at 43.5hp at 9,000rpm. It gets a 6-speed gearbox that is equipped with a slipper clutch and a quickshifter, the latter of which was only earlier available on the 390 Duke and Adventure.

Earlier this week, KTM launched the updated 390 Adventure at Rs 3.35 lakh (ex-showroom).
