It is no secret that Hyundai is readying the Creta facelift, which has already been spotted testing multiple times. The spy images confirmed that the 2022 Hyundai Creta will receive significantly re-styled front fascia.
Going by the spy images, it is visible that the front design of the SUV will share resemblance with the new-gen Tucson. For people not in the know, the new-gen Hyundai Tucson is already on sale in select international markets.
Digital Artist, Kleber Silva has released a new set of renderings of the Creta facelift and the Creta pick-up truck. The new rendering reveals the possible design changes to be offered on the 2022 Hyundai Creta facelift. The front end of the SUV receive a complete makeover, which looks identical to the new Tucson.
It features a new front grille that has unique triangular texture that’s mirrored left to right. The headlamps are integrated into the grille opening, using LED elements that hide into the front and when not illuminated.
The main headlamp unit is placed on the lower bumper. It has a sculpted bonnet, aggressive bumper with a wider air-intake and a faux skid plate.
The side profile looks identical to the existing model, featuring black-plastic cladding around all around the body, strong beltline and ORVMs with integrated blinkers. The render is finished in a unique paint scheme, which was debuted in the new-gen Tucson SUV.
The rear profile also looks similar to the Tucson; however, the updated model is likely to retain the existing design. We believe that the rear could be inspired by the Russian-spec Creta, which misses out on light bar that connects the two tail-lights.
Interior details of the 2022 Hyundai Creta facelift are still under the wraps. It is likely to be fitted with high-end features such as new leather upholstery, a 360 degree camera, HUD (Head-Up Display) and ADAS (advanced driver assistance system). The SUV will retain most of the features available in the existing variant.
The 2022 Hyundai Creta facelift is expected to retain its engines and gearboxes. It will be offered with 3 engine options – a 1.5L NA petrol, a 1.4L turbo petrol and a 1.5L turbo-diesel.
While the turbo-petrol unit makes power worth 140bhp and 242Nm, the 1.5L NA petrol and diesel motors deliver 115bhp with 144Nm and 250Nm respectively. A 6-speed MT is offered as standard.
Other gearbox options include a 7-speed DCT with 1.4L Turbo, a 6-speed torque convertor with 1.5L Diesel and a CVT with 1.5L Petrol.
