The strategic Zojila tunnel project on the Srinagar-Leh highway will likely be completed by September 2025. The makers of the tunnel, MEIL, are hopeful that defence personnel will be able to use the tunnel by September 2024, allowing the movement of essential supplies, artillery, arms and ammunition towards the LAC in Ladakh, where India and China are engaged in a face-off since May 2020
