Despite his busy schedule, Naga Chaitanya took some time to keep a promise he made to local fishermen in Visakhapatnam.
After Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala’s wedding festivities made headlines, the actor is now back to focusing on his work. He is currently busy shooting for his upcoming film Thandel, based on real events. The team is putting in a lot of effort during the pre-production phase to make sure everything is perfect. Despite his busy schedule, the actor took some time to keep a promise he made to local fishermen in Visakhapatnam. He had assured them to cook a fish curry for them and Naga didn’t back out, as he prepared a delicious Chepala Pulusu for them with his own hands. The fishermen, impressed by his cooking skills, wished him all the best for the film.
In a recently shared video by the makers on X (formerly known as Twitter), Naga was greeted by the local fishermen community. The actor then amazed everyone as he cooked a traditional fish curry, by lighting a fire and adding spices and other ingredients, to make the dish as authentic as possible. The film crew and locals were impressed by his skills. Before enjoying the dish himself, Naga made sure to serve the freshly made fish curry along with rice to everyone gathered around him.
Sharing the video on social media, the makers wrote, “Thandel Raju aka Yuvasamrat Naga Chaitanya cooks a lip-smacking Chepala Pulusu for the locals during the shoot of Thandel.”
Before starting the movie, Thandel, Naga Chaitanya, along with the other team members, visited the village to get a better understanding of the locals’ lifestyle. This visit allowed him to connect more deeply with the community and the story they wanted to tell. Speaking about the same, the actor in a promotional video said, “We are in this village to meet the characters, study their body language, know the texture of the village and understand their lifestyle.”
In the clip, the actor wrote, “Had a great experience meeting the fishermen of Srikakulam along with their families. Hearing out their experience and understanding their land was a great start to building my character for NC23.”
Naga Chaitanya-starrer Thandel is set to release in theatres on February 7.
