Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Sunday announced helpline numbers offering assistance to people from Karnataka stuck in Israel as the country steps up the war on Hamas.
The CM, in a social media post on X, asked such people to call the Karnataka State Emergency Operation Centre at 08022340676/ 08022253707 or India’s external affairs ministry.
There are people from Karnataka working in Israel.
“In view of the current situation in Israel, we are closely working with MEA towards ensuring the safety of our citizens,” the CM said, and added: “The current situation in Israel is very concerning. We advocate peace and harmony everywhere for the benefit of humanity.”
Air India, meanwhile, has cancelled flights to and from Tel Aviv until October 14.
