Did you know Vihan Verma was once rejected from Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah for the role of Tappu? He has now reacted to it.
Vihan Verma has gained immense popularity in the television entertainment industry due to his performances. He became a household name with his portrayal of Mohit in Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin. However, not many that Vihan once auditioned for the role of Tappu in the iconic sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, produced by Asit Kumarr Modi.
Vihan said in a media statement recently, “It wasn’t my dream role, and I saw it as just another part of the industry’s process. At that time, I chose to focus on what was already on my plate, which was Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin. This experience taught me the importance of focusing on the present and making the most of the opportunities I already had.”
Vihan added, “Rejection is inevitable in a competitive industry like this, but I manage its emotional impact by not taking it personally. I allow myself to feel disappointed but make sure not to dwell on it for too long. Instead, I channel my energy into improving my craft, learning from feedback, and staying persistent. Having a strong support system, celebrating small milestones, and keeping my long-term goals in perspective are crucial in helping me stay motivated and emotionally balanced.”
Vihan Verma is known for Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin (2020), Crime Patrol (2003) and Ye Kaisa Sukun (2021).
Meanwhile, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has been running for more than a decade and a half now. It kicked off in 2008 and is one of the longest-running shows on Indian television. When the show kicked off, the role of Tappu was essayed by Bhavya Gandhi from 2008 to 2017. Bhavya was replaced by Raj Anadkat, who played the role from 2017-2022. After his exit, Nitish Bhaluni took over.
Many actors have quit TMKOC over the years. The show manages to gain a spot in the Top 10 TRP list every year.
