TV actress Dalljiet Kaur has been in the toughest phase of her life. As per reports, the actress is currently fighting a legal battle against her estranged husband, Nikhil Patel. Initially, Dalljiet and Nikhil’s married life looked nothing less than a fairytale. The actress never failed to express her love for Nikhil.
Meanwhile, as per the recent report, she even tore her mom’s gifted saree for Nikhil. The actress recently revealed how she gave Nikhil her wedding saree to make a sofa cover for their home.
According to a Times Now article, Nikhil once asked Dalljiet to use her wedding saree as their couch cover to serve as a “shrine to their love.”
After Nikhil made the demand, the actress thought of nothing and handed him her mom’s gifted saree to make the sofa cover.
As per the portal’s sources, Dalljiet was in tears as her saree was cut into bits and pieces just to fulfil her husband’s wish. The actress is very attached to traditions and got very emotional when she took this step.
But, she simply saw the sofa as a shrine to their love, so she granted Nikhil’s desire. Dalljiet is still waiting for several expensive goods to arrive from Nikhil’s house in Kenya.
The Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon 2 actress reached out to the court to put a stay order on him when he threatened to give away her belongings for charity. It was subsequently reported that Nikhil had moved Dalljiet’s belongings to a storage room.
During their legal battle, Dalljiet demanded the sofa to be given to her as she has emotions attached to the sofa covers, which were made out of her mother’s gifted saree. However, Nikhil tore the cover and stored some pieces of it in the storage room.
It has also been reported that, as soon as the couple parted ways, Nikhil ripped off the cover and shredded the saree into pieces. When Dalljiet asked Nikhil to send her the sofa as it was made from her saree, he just returned the shredded saree parts to her.
According to the report, following her disastrous first marriage to TV star Shalin Bhanot, Dalljiet Kaur gave love another try and married Nikhil Patel last year. Within 10 months, Dalljiet and her son, Jaydon, returned to India from Kenya. The actress also accused Nikhil of having an extramarital affair and cheating on her.
