The trailer for the upcoming historical action film Kesari Veer: Legends of Somnath has been released. It provides a dramatic insight into the narrative of Hamirji Gohil, a courageous warrior who fought against the Tughlaq Empire to safeguard the Somnath Temple. The film, set to be released on May 16, stars Suniel Shetty, Sooraj Pancholi, and Akanksha Sharma in pivotal roles. During the trailer launch event, Suniel Shetty praised Sooraj and his dedication to the film.
At the event, Suniel Shetty talked about the Hero actor’s efforts for the historical drama. He said, “He (Sooraj) has seen a lot. Now, he’s got this second chance. Trust me, this is an opportunity the Almighty has given, that Mahadev (Lord Shiva) has given. You’ll see it in the film that he’s unbelievably good! Every time I see him on screen, it’s like I’m watching Ahan. That’s the kind of effort he’s put in. And the same kind of love.”
Sooraj was accused of involvement in the suicide of actor and late girlfriend Jiah Khan by her family. In 2023, a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court in Mumbai acquitted him of abetment charges.

Suniel Shetty stars in the film as the fearless warrior Vegda Ji, who commands the battlefield while striving to uphold Dharma. Alongside him, Sooraj Pancholi makes a comeback to the big screen as Veer Hamirji Gohil, the unsung hero.
Kesari Veer, directed by Prince Dhiman and produced by Kanu Chauhan, promises to bring to life the forgotten stories of warriors who fought to defend the hallowed Somnath Temple against invaders in the 14th century. The film aims to tell a fascinating story about history, devotion, and patriotism.
