Sobhita Dhulipala and Naga Chaitanya, who tied the knot in December last year, recently celebrated their first Makar Sankranti and Pongal as a married couple. Known for keeping their personal lives private, the couple offered fans a rare glimpse into their festive celebrations through Sobhita’s Instagram stories.
On January 14, Sobhita shared a series of photos capturing the essence of the festival. The Made in Heaven actress began with an image of a traditional bonfire, captioned, “bhogi, renewal, transformation.” She followed it with a photo of a beautifully adorned rangoli, extending her festive wishes to her followers.

The final slide showcased a traditional offering of prasad, rounding off the glimpses of their intimate celebration.
Sobhita and Naga Chaitanya first crossed paths at the actor’s residence, where Chaitanya’s father, Nagarjuna, had invited Sobhita after being impressed by her performance in the 2018 Telugu film Goodachari. Their first proper interaction, however, didn’t happen until April 2022, when they connected on social media over a shared love for food.
Recalling the early days of their romance, Sobhita revealed to The New York Times that Naga Chaitanya flew to Mumbai just two weeks after their initial conversation to have lunch with her. “That was the charming part. It was so old school in a way,” she said, adding, “I’m not a fan of texting or communicating on social media.”
Their story progressed organically, and they later met at an Amazon Prime Video event. Sobhita fondly remembered, “I was in a red dress, he was in a blue suit. And the rest is history.”
For Naga Chaitanya, this is his second marriage. He was previously married to actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu. The couple announced their separation in October 2021 and finalised their divorce in 2022.
