Shahid Kapoor is all set to return in the highly anticipated sequel to Farzi, and this time, he’s reportedly earning his biggest paycheck yet. The actor, who made his OTT debut with the hit Amazon Prime Video series in 2023, will reprise his role in Farzi 2, directed once again by Raj & DK.
According to a Pinkvilla report, Shahid is being paid a whopping Rs 45 crore for the second season, making it the highest acting fee of his career to date. The source noted that while Shahid typically charges between Rs 25 to Rs 30 crore per film, he negotiates a different fee structure for digital projects.
The report adds that Farzi 2 is expected to go on floors by the end of 2025. Raj & DK, who are currently busy with their upcoming project Rakt Brahmand, will begin pre-production for the sequel once their ongoing commitments are wrapped up.
Sources also reveal that the core plotline of Farzi 2 has already been discussed with Shahid Kapoor. The second season will reportedly feature a high-stakes face-off between Shahid, Vijay Sethupathi, and Kay Kay Menon, promising an intense continuation of the crime-thriller series. The sequel is scheduled for release in the latter half of 2026.
Farzi, which debuted on Amazon Prime Video last year, was widely acclaimed for its gripping storyline and performances. The show also starred Vijay Sethupathi, Raashii Khanna, Bhuvan Arora, and Kavya Thapar in pivotal roles.
