First, she received multiple nominations for her role in Emilia Perez, even receiving the Best Actress award at the Cannes Film Festival. Then, she got engaged to her beau Benny Blanco. Amid this, the actress-singer recently sat down for an interview, speaking candidly about her likes, dislikes and experience of working in the Emilia Perez. That’s not all. She also revealed the names of her crushes in the industry.
In conversation with W Magazine, Selena Gomez claimed she first crushed hard on Jesse McCartney soon after the release of his song Beautiful Soul. In her teenage days, Selena “probably had too many crushes”, as she revealed during the interaction. The singer went on to share that one of her crushes was Chad Michael Murray and she liked him in One Tree Hill. Elaborating, she noted, “I loved Chad Michael Murray from One Tree Hill. I also just had crushes more in real life than on actors or musicians. I was 11 or 12 years old, and I guest-starred on The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, which starred Dylan and Cole Sprouse.”
Moreover, Selena Gomez also recalled her first ever kiss which happened on TV. Reflecting on the same, she continued, “It was with Dylan, and it was really funny because both of us were so young. We were figuring out how to kiss. I had never done it, and I was so scared.”
In the same interview, Selena Gomez also highlighted the experience of working on Emilia Perez. She said, “None of us had actually seen the movie until Cannes. We were all kind of sinking into our seats, not really sure what was going to happen. The reception after was really beautiful. I was so happy for Karla and for [director Jacques Audiard]. It felt like we were seen and deeply appreciated.”

As of now, Selena Gomez is enjoying the best phase of her life with Benny Blanco with whom she got engaged in December last year. The actress announced the news through a loved-up picture on Instagram, featuring the couple together. In the photo, she proudly flaunted her ring, given to her by Blanco.
