Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu and TV personality Uorfi Javed recently had their much-awaited first meeting at a restaurant in Mumbai, and their excitement was evident on social media. Both stars took to Instagram stories to celebrate the encounter, highlighting how great it felt to “finally” meet each other in person.
Samantha was accompanied by her friend, fashion designer Kresha Bajaj, when she met Uorfi. Sharing a blurry yet delightful snap with the duo, Uorfi wrote, “Blurry but (rose emoji). Fav girls @samantharuthprabhuoffl @kreshabajaj.” Samantha reshared the post, adding, “@urf7i Finally, I meet you (heart emoji).” The exchange thrilled fans, as the two have maintained a virtual camaraderie long before meeting in real life.
For those unaware, Samantha has been an admirer of Uorfi’s bold and experimental fashion choices, often sharing her unique outfits on social media to show support. Their online friendship was also acknowledged earlier this year when Uorfi sent a special video message during Samantha’s interview with Galatta India.
In the heartfelt video, Uorfi expressed her admiration, saying, “Hi Samantha, I am your biggest fan. You know that I love you, and I love how you are such a girl’s girl. Though we have never met, Kresha keeps talking about you. She’s your biggest cheerleader, and so am I! You have supported me so much. You are one of the nicest people I have not met—but still the nicest.”
Samantha was last seen in Raj & DK’s Prime Video series Citadel: Honey Bunny alongside Varun Dhawan. Her last theatrical release was Kushi (2023) with Vijay Deverakonda, and she is currently filming Rakt Brahmand: The Bloody Kingdom, once again with Raj & DK.
