Mika Singh praised auto driver Bhajan Singh Rana for his ‘heroic’ act.

Singer Mika Singh has promised a sum of Rs 1 lakh to Bhajan Singh Rana, the rickshaw driver who saved Saif Ali Khan’s life by making sure the actor reached the hospital on time. Saif Ali Khan was attacked in his Bandra home last week and needed to be rushed to the hospital. Bhajan not only took Saif to the hospital but also refused to take any money from him.
To acknowledge his service, Mika Singh has promised to reward Bhajan. He wrote on his Instagram Story, “I strongly believe he deserves a reward of at least Rs 11 lakh for saving India’s favourite superstar. His heroic act is truly commendable! If possible, could you please share his contact information with me? I’d like to reward him with Rs 1 lakh as a token of appreciation.”
Mika Singh is not the only one who was impressed by Bhajan’s actions. Days after the incident, it was reported that the auto-driver was rewarded. As reported by News24, Bhajan Singh Rana has been rewarded by an institution. Reportedly, he has been given Rs 11,000 for good deeds.
Previously, it was reported that the auto-driver refused any payment from Saif for this act of service. “I was called there (Bandra Police Station) for questioning…I did not think about money that night…I have not been contacted by Kareena Kapoor or anyone else so far. I have not had any conversation with them,” Bhajan Singh, the auto-rickshaw driver said while speaking to ANI.
The auto-rickshaw driver further described the events and narrated his account. “His back was hurt. I felt very bad because he was bleeding. I had no idea that Saif Ali Khan was sitting in my rickshaw. I thought that some injured person must have been sitting there…When Saif and his son got down from the rickshaw after going to Lilavati Hospital, I realised that the star actor was sitting in the rickshaw,” he said.
After his surgery was successful, Saif Ali Khan and Sharmila Tagore met Bhajan Singh to personally thank him. The actor promised to settle the unpaid fare and assured Rana of his support, encouraging him to continue being a source of help to others, according to IANS.
