Ranbir Kapoor returned to Mumbai with his actress-wife, Alia, upon hearing the news of Deb Mukherjee’s death last week.

Ranbir Kapoor attended Ayan Mukerjis’ father Deb Mukherjee’s prayer meet on Tuesday, March 18. In a video that surfaced on social media, the actor was seen arriving at Ayan’s residence in Mumbai. He sported an all-white attire when he was snapped by the paparazzi. However, upon noticing the shutterbugs, Ranbir closed the window of his car.
Ranbir Kapoor returned to Mumbai with his actress-wife, Alia, upon hearing the news of Deb Mukherjee’s death last week. The former has shared a long-standing bond with Ayan Mukerji, having worked with him on Wake Up Sid, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, and Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva.
At a recent media event celebrating Alia’s birthday, Ranbir confirmed that Brahmastra: Part Two is in development and added that Ayan will only begin working on it after the release of War 2.
“Brahmastra 2 is something that Ayan has been nurturing as a dream for a very long time. He is currently working on War 2. Once this releases, he will start pre-production of Brahmastra 2. It is definitely happening. We haven’t really announced much of it, but then some really interesting announcements (will be made soon) regarding Brahmastra 2,” the actor said.
Meanwhile, talking about Deb Mukherjee, the veteran actor passed away on March 14. Deb’s spokesperson confirmed the news of his death to Zoom and revealed that the actor was unwell for the last couple of months due to age-related ailments. He was 83. Deb Mukherjee worked in several Bollywood films including Aansoo Ban Gaye Phool, Abhinetri, Do Aankhen, Baaton Baaton Mein, Kaminey and Gudgudee among others.
