Ram Kapoor’s wife and actress Gautami Kapoor has finally broken her silence over her viral video in which she was seen mimicking Ekta Kapoor. While speculated a cold war and rivalry between them, Gautami has set the record straight. She denied any rivalry or fallout between her and Ekta Kapoor, and added that the video was made ‘in the spirit of fun’ and that it was blown out of proportion. She also denied allegations that Ram Kapoor used Ozempic to reduce weight.
While speaking with Vickey Lalwani, Gautami Kapoor reacted to her video mimicking Ekta Kapoor, and said, “I have not done this with any kind of vengeance, or any kind of revenge or vested interest. Ye social media ne isko itna hype kar diya hai. Logon ke beech mein ab ye debate chal rahi hai. Maine is attitude se ye kiya hi nahi hai, ki mujhe badla lena hai, ya mujhe kuch vengeance hai kisi ke saath. Aisa kuchh bhi nahi hai. (Social media has given it so much hype. Now there’s this debate going on among people. I never had this attitude of wanting to take revenge or get back at anyone. I never had any such intentions). I have done it in the spirit of fun. I have done it so that when people see it, people laugh at it. Not say that ‘Are they having some rivalry? Is there a fallout?’ There’s nothing like that guys. Everyone needs to chill. It’s not about rivalry all the time. It’s also about fun.”
She further added, “It’s a 30 second video, look at it, laugh at it and move on! People are taking it more seriously than me and Ekta, I think.”
Gautami Reveals Ram Kapoor’s Reaction To Her Video Mimicking Ekta Kapoor
When asked if she told Ram Kapoor that she is putting out the video, Gautami replied, “Not at all.” She further spoke about his reaction to the video, and said, “Fortunately, for his sake, he was not here. When he came back, he was inundated with thousands of messages from all over the world. Then he saw it obviously, and he was like ‘Good for you. Don’t drag me in the middle of this because this is between you, Ekta and social media. Don’t drag me into this.’”
She further added that people are giving the video more importance than they should. “There’s more to life than all this. There’s more to life than talking about people’s non-existent rivalry and non-existent hatred.” She said that there was no hidden agenda about the video, and the sole agenda was ‘fun’. She wanted people to watch, have a laugh, de-stress a bit and move on.
Gautami Kapoor Reacts To Ram Kapoor Being Accused Of Taking Ozempic For Weight Loss
Dismissing claims of Ram Kapoor taking Ozempic for weight loss, Gautami said, “Ram has been alleged of many things in the past. That doesn’t make it true. Just because somebody is saying it, doesn’t make those things true. And Ram is the kind of person, if he has done anything, he will say it. He doesn’t hide anything.”
For the unversed, Ekta had seemingly taken a dig at Ram Kapoor after he denied undergoing Ozempic treatment for weight loss. A few weeks later, Gautami shared a video in which she was seen micmicking Ekta.
